![]() When I tapered off the Lexapro (normal, slow), my Psychiatrist didn't fully warn me of how different my experience with Adderall could be without it. The Lexapro slowed me down so much that I absolutely needed Adderall to be a normal human being, and my psychological & physical dependence made it really upsetting to not have it. ![]() For me, it was in conjunction with going OFF Lexapro (SSRI, enemy of ADHD). Oh, you should be fine if you know its power and you're taking care of yourself. If you eat a somewhat balanced diet and your sleep hygiene is as important to you as water, you're going to be fine. ![]() The pharmaceutical dose used as directed can be lifechanging, but stimulants always need to be used with a healthy amount of reverence in my opinion. He was probably taking more when he felt bad, making everything exponentially worse every time.Īnd finally, don't be too scared about your meds, if you really have ADHD and productivity/focus issues. The other issue is that once a stimulant dose wears off, you can feel pretty cranky, especially without the aforementioned sleep or food.
